Baba Ramdev becomes Modern Chanakya and History repeats
Over the entire stretch of Indian history one can notice that it is always the saints and sages, who have roused the national soul. The only people who come under spotlight in the process of national regeneration are renunciates. One cannot create history from the purse; it can only created by great mind and heart. This is truer in India than anywhere else.
The sages like Vashishta of ancient India who guided the kings towards righteousness protecting the dharma, the spiritual masters like Buddha, Mahavira and Shankara who not only rejuvenated the nation with their splendid knowledge but also gifted the world a new way of leading life, the teachers like Chanakya who created kings and reinstalled the glory of India, the patriotic monks like swami Vivekananda who showed to the world once more in modern era that India is still the universal guru. Indian history is filled with life stories of such innumerable heroes who are blessings to the mankind.
The modern independent India is now witnessing another such historical sage who will again take India to new heights. Baba Ramdev, who made India healthy, now wants to make it wealthy. India would again regain the status of world teacher, if his revolutionary ideas get implemented.
The recent events were déjà vu to me. I felt i have seen this, i read this, i heard this somewhere before it occurred. The insult rendered to a patriotic Indian yogi by powerful greedy politicians reminded me the event when King Dhananda ridiculed Acharya Chanakya when he pleaded to save Bharata Khanda from greedy foreign invaders. History is repeating.
